The difference between TM and MT

TM David writes:
I find that club music, especially over the past couple years, really grates on me. Whereas it used to be pop and dance music that while not being my favorite, was tolerable or sometimes even catchy (eg. Promiscuous Girl by Nelly Furtado), nowadays club music is all about dubstep and super in your face beats. Honestly, I feel like they fuck with my brain. Here’s an example:
When I listen to that, I honestly cannot think straight. It messes me up.
This is very interesting. I think it exposes the diametrical opposition of TM and MT.
I am an MT. The music David hates is the music I listen to. I thought the tune was badass. Maybe it isn’t my favorite, but I love the abstracted techno complexity mixed with a driving psycho beat.
This reflects my MT psychology. The Melon back is essentially an ambitious psycho. The Thal front is an abstracted logic drive. Pair them together musically and I can just tunnel focus and work with a feeling of exhiliration.
This is why I think MT’s are particularly suited to be driven towards personally engaging in ideological bloodshed. The abstraction blunts empathy and the ability to appreciate the gentler pastels of life. Sex, violence and domination are among the powerful emotions we can experience.
Classical music on the other hand feels too undriven; life for life’s sake rather than to some logically expressed overriding inexorable purpose.
In short, an MT male needs to be crushing something. Of course, most MT’s are not so ideologically motivated as I am, so it instead is expressed through ambition or group affiliation of some kind.
Tex has theorized that the Melons used Neanderthal hybrids as palace guards. Taking that a step further, I think they used MT’s. I would have no problem fulfilling that function for a reasonably benevolent Pharoanic Melon ruler.
Here is the perfect MT song, coincidentally from the same band David linked to. Everything, including the lyrics, fit:
I’ve already described the psycho abstract violence effect. Unlike the song David linked, this one adds female vocals, an undercurrent of peace that reflects the MT’s egoless acceptance of death – and also the peace that the noble feminine brings, which is the only place the Thal half finds rest. This is one of the songs I work to.
I think what MT’s understand best is action directly connected to a logical abstract non-emotionally-egocentric purpose. (The ambition is spiritual.)
When an MT sees TM’s exercising Thallish charisma for concepts, we feel, “What’s your point?” An MT wants to see blood, and resents and suspects TM smoothness. But we respect the conceptually driven part, even if it strikes us as pointless because it’s not directly connected to social action.
TT’s appear to us incomprehensibly virtuous, because they lack the dark streak of ambition, but still emotionally process the same way. Their only fault is an excess of passivity.
MM’s reflect to us our worst side, and also what we interpret as conceptual incompetence. That, combined with a charisma and influence we consider cheating.
The thing I most regret about being an MT is a reduced ability to live the life that Tolkein extolled in his writing: life for the sake of living, like the TT’s can do. That and the touch of genius Thals have, both come from the occipital lobe. However, I think the noble feminine can resolve this MT pain and bring peace.
Some examples of MT’s close to this archetype would be Leopold II of Belgium, Musashi and Machiavelli.
Of course MT’s can be gentle; there are also factors like testosterone, eye size and environment. And I went through a classical music phase myself. None of this is set in stone.
Skeptics typically interpret these personality tendencies too rigidly. For example, MT’s are socially handicapped. But an MT that grows up doing football and frats and drinking will develop a healthy tribal emotional experience. He will seek that “officer” experience and have an active social life. He will probably be group oriented, a coping mechanism for Thal dysfunction. He will be socially competent, but not capable of the pyrotechnic flair that MM’s display.
As much as I criticize MM’s, I believe the big eyed variant is the original race. They are more dangerous when fallen, but when good their nobility surpasses the other races.
After reflection, I’m certain that Jesus was an MM. Tex thought Jesus was a Thal. But Tex lacked exposure to big eyed MM’s when he made that assessment. And the vast social facility, nay absolute mastery, that Jesus displayed rules out anything but MM. He was slain because he threatened the existing MM power structure directly and uncompromisingly. His mission, not his social incompetence, was his death. (In more ways that one.)
By contrast, it is quite clear that John the Baptist was either MT or TT. Likewise, Paul was probably an MM. Apostleship is socially demanding, and he did it well.
TM’s and MT’s are halves seeking wholes. But what they seek is contradictory. An MM is, in today’s society and probably most societies, is pretty self sufficient. It is the Thal side that suffers in both hybrid forms. To a Thal, life today is pain.
A TM needs integration, but doesn’t seek it, because his Melon front lacks the compulsive rational monologue integrating drive. He feels the resulting fragmentation keenly. Shroom trips can be an excellent way to meld these personas back together. There is neurological evidence that shrooms decrease the mind’s divisions and allow one to experience reality holistically.
David describes it thusly:
The actual event was that I mentioned an idea I had, while we were walking around outside on shrooms, about “people putting things in boxes” which was essentially a metaphor for people compartmentalizing their thoughts and pieces of themselves as opposed to “being whole”. This came about due in part to how I felt on shrooms. I was whole and those filters in my mind that kept my thoughts compartmentalized didn’t exist. My mind and the various “personas” I used for being at home, being at work, being with family, being in public, etc; weren’t there at all… there was only one me.
A common pattern with TM’s is that they become stressed by too much “go time”, and need to withdraw and process. An xT can’t engage in social “go time” at all. A TM can do it in bursts before the occipital needs to catch up. An MM with big eyes can do it even longer before he feels burnout.
An MT is different than a TM. His Melon spiritual back (enlarged parietal lobe) drives him to fulfill the Melon mandate. He must overcome his social handicap to do so. MT’s are good at consciously working towards this goal. Yet the Thal front also longs for a different kind of fulfillment, the deep integrative closeness of Thal life. This manifests as an ache or sadness, but is not something he places a priority on correcting. He must step back from his spiritual ambition, recognize this need, stifle his impatience, and make time for it.
Lloyd Pye is a particularly stable and sympathetic TM. In his case, I think it’s a combination of several things (not that I’ve researched him closely):
1. A TM-friendly niche in alternative science
2. Background as a psychologist – TM’s should introspect and study psychology
3. Stable home life and family, Southern style background
4. Mild Thal expression; mostly Melon.
